This girl brings us all so much JOY!
We are happy to celebrate you today and every day JOIE. She has always been the most thoughtful Aunt to my children. She has lived in several different states and another country over the past few years and kept up with kids schedules better than I sometimes. She calls them regularly to check in on them individually. Reminds them she is always there. Sneaks them away for Chick-fil-A dates, milkshakes and treats. She makes sure to support them in all their extracurricular activities and watches their events overseas. I can’t express how lucky our family is to have her. We all have a special bond but over the past few years it’s grown astronomically. Praise be to God.

I have always shared how much I love my family in-love. I gained them through love so I prefer to call them that. What a blessing when you gain a great family with your spouse. Teenagers and young adults remember that! My mother always told me, “You only marry someone you date, so choose wisely and don't waste your time and heart on someone not worthy for marriage”. My now husband became my boyfriend when I was in the eighth grade. I have been lucky to have watched Joie grow up from fifth grade. To know her and her heart is to love her!

Vegetable beef soup

Saute together:
1 medium chopped onion
2 lbs. hamburger meat
Salt and pepper

Add to a stock pot:
1 gallon Campbell tomato juice
2 large cans Veg-All
2 cans okra, tomatoes, and corn mixture
1 can green peas
1 can seasoned pinto beans
1 can great northern beans
1 can stewed tomatoes (optional)
3/4 cup A1
2 tablespoons Heinz 57
Add in your cooked hamburger meat and onions

Cook till a boil (about ten minutes) then simmer for 30 minutes. We love to serve ours with cornbread.

Looking back on 2024 with gratitude. The people surrounding this couch bring me constant joy every day. Getting to be their wife and momma is my greatest achievement and biggest blessing.

Just a few things I have learned this year:
*Do not take your parents’ health for granted. I am so thankful my mom’s cancer diagnosis and surgery this year went well. I am praying for better health for my sweet mother in-love in the days ahead also.

*Workouts are essential. I have known that my body needs exercise and weights but I have learned that regular workouts are best for my mental health.

*Patience & time management are not my best qualities. If you want to get more done in a 24 hour day you must find more time. I had to give up some sleeping time and start my days earlier at 5 am on a schedule.

*Worrying about your children never stops, it just pivots as they get older.

*I am a dreamer. I have more entrepreneurial plans and dreams than I can manage at once. My intentions are good but my follow through lacks.

*I have learned to show myself grace and learned to simply say “no” more. “No, I can’t make it, host that or attend this” because the time it takes away from my family is not worth it.

*I have learned that I have better friends than I deserve and this community is amazing!

*2024 reminded me that I live in a dreamy little town and I am so blessed to raise our family in this God fearing place.

*My job still feels like a dream job to me and I absolutely cannot wait to see what 2025 brings.

*Everything is God’s and I am forever thankful He allows me on loan these beautiful things that I’ve got. My spouse, our children, material and spiritual happiness all belong to Him, our Heavenly Father.

Feel Better Soup

32 oz. chicken broth
1 Pioneer black pepper gravy mix
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 11 oz. can cream of chicken soup
1 11 oz. can cheese soup
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
3 cups water
Add & mix above ingredients well in stock pot on the stove until boiling. Then add in
3-4 cups shredded chicken breast (I use a rostesserie chicken)
2 cups frozen carrots
2 cups frozen green peas
3 cups rotini noodles

Continue to boil 8-10 minutes once all ingredients are added in. Turn to a low simmer and cover for 30 minutes.

We like to serve it with fresh shredded cheese on top. Add Tabasco hot sauce for a kick. 🌶️ Great to reheat and eat for days ahead. Enjoy ~XXAP

Hi, I'm Airica! Here's a bit about me: I was raised in a small town in Tennessee with a heart for big-city fashion. I married my grade school boyfriend, who remains as the love of my life and best friend. Together, we moved away for dental school- he became a dentist, and I became a hygienist. Now, we own a dental practice and enjoy our busy careers together, back in out hometown! We have three children: L.G. V (Greene), Aubrianna Berkley, and John Crewe.
